...spots the opportunities that others miss

Spot Opportunities for Sales Professionals

Imagine working in an environment that made you look forward to each day; in a corporate culture that was perfect for your personality; where your responsibilities came from a position description that you wrote for yourself; and your compensation represented your full value to the organization.

It’s not only possible, but by capitalizing on spot opportunities, a high percentage of our clients do just that. In fact, about half accept positions that did not even exist on the day RLS went to work with them.

 You'll always miss 100%
of the shots you don't take

Spot opportunities are the intersection of an urgent or anticipated organizational need with a person who represents the solution, and are timed insights that signal

the beginning of the hiring process. They exist for a limited time only, and spot opportunities are an important component of the unadvertised job market.

Barriers normally erected by personnel departments and rigid corporate hiring practices are circumvented when you communicate directly with key decision makers.

Since specific positions aren’t yet defined, there is a high percentage of jobseekers that have the opportunity to create an ideal position around their skills, but only if they are prepared for it. There is still in-house competition, but it is minimal because this is 3-6 months before costly placement or advertising activity starts.

This increases your marketability because:

Ø You are given a solo opportunity to highlight your value without competition from others
Ø The dialog is genuine and solution oriented instead of contrived interview banter
Ø Companies respond to people who show a sincere and specific desire to work for them

This direct interaction saves companies time and money, so positions accepted as a result of spot opportunities quite often result in higher starting salaries.

When you hear about someone enjoying “the best job of their life”, it’s almost always because they didn’t use traditional job search methods.
